- Messages you send to PocketMoney and the entries you create, such as budgets, goals, and shared expenses.
- If you choose to connect a bank account in the future, financial data is accessed through regulated providers and used only to power features you ask for.
- Basic technical data such as device type and usage events, to keep the service working and improve it.
How we use it
- To provide the service: answer your messages, split shared costs, send reminders, and keep your records.
- To contact you about early access and important updates.
- To improve reliability and build new features.
The privacy wall
PocketMoney is designed so each person only sees what is meant for them. When you coordinate a shared cost, others see the status, not your income, balances, or individual spending. Private conversations and amounts stay in your own thread.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal data.
- Mobile information and SMS opt-in consent are never shared with third parties or used for their marketing.
- We do not show your private finances to the people you share money with.
- We do not use your data for advertising.
Sharing with providers
We use trusted service providers to run PocketMoney, such as hosting, messaging, and, where you opt in, bank connectivity. They process data only on our instructions and under appropriate safeguards.
